MVS and ISPF utilities

Want to know more about utilities like DFSORT, SuperCompare or IEBGENER? Then you'll need this one-day ABIS training.

Utilities like DFSORT and IEBGENER being used daily in several JCL jobs; they provide more possibilities than generally known.

Also ISPF contains some utility pearls like the compare tool.

In this course:

  • participants learn the practical possibilities of the (batch) MVS utilities and the corresponding (on-line) ISPF utilities;
  • they learn to understand the different steps in the application development process, from program to load module;
  • several much used MVS utilities are explained.

Training method

Lecturing. About half of the time is spent on practical exercises.
